Like damn, Tommy, get your morals right dude-

You literally gave Dream your disks for L'manburg and then you say they're more important than your bestfriend. It shows how much Tommy has went through but still-

if dream wasn't lying about being a god, then that must mean he has a god's tendencies, preferences, and habits. so like. headcanon dream as a god. cool.

and what do people of mortal origin do when presented with a god?

give offererings. sacrifices. ask god for shit.

when lmanburg was created, it very well could have been a blight on dream's territory. it was an uprising that came out of nowhere, that took from his lands, and from the people he'd sworn peace to. so it has to go, right?

so he wages war. seriously, how dare lmanburg be established on HIS lands?? his community?? freedom, emancipation? those were ALREADY present within the SMP. he barely even kept his rules in check, the only thing he'd done is play mediator so everyone gets their fair share of fun. right?

and lmanburg is just so fucking stubborn. so full of bright people who dream welcomed with open arms into his smp and they turned around and spat on his gift. as all gods do, dream gets offended, and drags these ungrateful mortals into bloodshed and war.

until finally, it comes to a head. lmanburg's lost, and dream makes plans to tear their country down.

until tommy.

tommy, and his stupid bit about the disk wars. tommy and his relentless passion towards a lie, towards a farce that turned real as time went on.

tommy....had sacrificed the one thing he held more dear than anything else on the server.

tommy gave up his disks.

and to tommy, that might have seemed like an appeasement, thought that once everything settled, he'd be able to bargain for them back. dream's a reasonable person, there has to be something else he wants.

except he doesnt understand the monumentous thing he's done. dream was given an offering. a sacrifice of pride, of ideals, of identity and soul. tommy sacrificed his disks to dream.

and with that one action, the weight of the disks increased a thousandfold. to dream, the disks became priceless relics that he would jealously guard for the rest of his life. these relics were gifted to him, a god, and so he blessed them with the official establishment of lmanburg. it was supposed to be over and done with.

until tommy decides to take them back again. to STEAL them from dream. why?! dream can't understand. why is tommy trying to take the one thing he'd offered to dream? what did tommy want? lmanburg or the disks?

dream just doesn't know anymore. he doesn't get his precious mortals, he doesn't. they scream and cry and laugh and love with a ferocity dream dream cannot comprehend, they make tiny inconsequential items the most important things in their lives, they breathe sentimentality and nostalgia everywhere.

dream loves them right? he does. but a mortal he is not, no matter how much he tries to pretend.

just. what if tommy giving up the disks was more than just an exchange, but an offering that a god was honored to accept and return?
