This stops being quite as "zany shitpost" and becomes "Accidental Performance art commentary on Accessibility" when you consider the vast number of people unable to sit upright or leave a bed, most or all the time. No you don't see us, we're in bed either all the time or when our conditions flare up and put us there regularly.
When i first saw this I thought, "HAH- too bad that's not a feasible thing, then I could go so many public places while still safely cushioned and laying down!"
...only then did I realize how many people would never see it that way.

"Men Aren't Better Than Women: Both Genders Are Inferior To Me" is a 1991 book by Dr. Ivo Robotnik (better known for other work). Though its primary purpose is clearly to stroke the author's own ego, it is generally regarded as a comprehensive, well-constructed, and accessible work of contemporary feminist theory, and is still commonly-cited to this day.
Most of the critical complaints have been about the tone; in a review from 2005, Professor Victoria of Spagonia University said, "The constant self-aggrandizement undercuts the idea that its subject ought to be taken seriously. Also, wasn't the 'feminist' line from the Sonic Heroes manual a mistranslation of 'womanizer'?"
In 2026, Dr. Robotnik released a new edition updated for the preceding 35 years of developments in feminism, with the subtitle changed from "Both Genders" to "All Genders."

The old school lack of transparency on tumblr is amazing because you assume the people you follow must all be equivalent to you and then you see someone write “I brought my youngest to college today” and someone else write “my mom wouldn’t let me listen to Ariana Grande when I was a kid” and then your head explodes
and we need that! keeps us humble.
Then I'm just like WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU’RE AN ADULT
It goes the other way, too, because WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE A CHILD?!!
I'm 16, that's like, barely a child
I'm in my 30s. You are baby
I'm older than both of you in a trenchcoat.
honestly one of the best things we can do for ourselves is realize that people of different ages than us can still be the same kind of person as us. it's humbling and it gives everyone involved a sense of continuity, and it busts those stupid generational stereotypes media is so fond of.

tim in boys planet after the first mission, lol
im writing more stuff into it and accidentally gave tim gunwook's plotline as presented in bp so i made them interact and now theyre friends????
reading all the fandom stuff for dc makes me cautious about posting anything about this fic lol largely bc im not that into dc yet so
saw someone say tim drake was a nothing burger character and i, halfway through the red robin series with 4k access to tim's inner thoughts, am fucking flabbergasted.
tim "lets fake being injured for months" drake? tim "lets blow up the assassin cult resources" drake, uncaring of the consequences hes setting up himself? tim "i made a contingency plan for robin in the most asshole-ish way possible" drake??? the guy who i hear fight-bantered with red hood after he got ambushed in titans tower??? sarcasm-central tim drake???????????
THAT guy is a nothingburger character??????
Fanon Tim Drake and the Dynamics of Abuse Apologia
(this is my first attempt at a serious analysis post on here so please be gentle with me. also this contains a detailed discussion of familial and child abuse so be careful ❤️)
Despite being an avid comic reader and general disliker of fanon Batman stories, I ironically find fanon’s version of Tim deeply, deeply relatable but for all of the wrong reasons, most of which are entirely unintentional to the author’s goals.
I’m sure most of you know the typical Tim Drake story posted on AO3. The majority of them, if not ship focused, are usually about the fanon relationship between Tim and the “Batfam”, Jason especially, which is what I want to focus on. I find these types of fics are written in a way to make Tim relatable, but it’s for the same reason they’re so upsetting and why I can’t read them: the way Tim is treated in these fics is almost an exact recreation of how abuse is normalized and excused within interpersonal relationships. Many of the “Good Dad Bruce” and “Jason Todd is a Good Sibling” fics contain prevalent depictions of abuse apologia which are framed as “Hurt/Comfort” or “Enemy to Caretaker”
Fanon Tim stories have multiple connected tropes and themes that are nearly identical to one another, and I want to focus on the three following ones: Titans Tower and its fanon, Tim’s relationship with Jason and its fanon, and fanon Tim’s integration of Jason back into the “Batfamily”. I will be talking less about correcting what is fanon vs canon, and more about how these fanon tropes play into the overarching undertones of abuse apologia.
Yeahhhhh I think, in order to achieve the “big happy family” vibe that many fandoms are so fond of, creators (and fans) often have to ignore some of the atrocities committed in canon. The issue here is the difference between ignoring it and reframing it. Bruce is, by modern standards, a bad parent. He’s abusive. It varies based on which comics you consider and which timelines are generally accepted, but overall, he gets a C tier at best. He’s emotionally unavailable and his children all ended up tying their worth to their ability to serve “the mission.” Honestly, every bat-family member has a couple of things that fandom just kind of ignores because it doesn’t work with the desired narrative. However, some things are considered ‘necessity’ because of their relevance to the main plot: titan’s tower as Jason’s return, Dick giving robin to Damian so that Tim becomes red robin, Alfred not only allowing but encouraging a child to put his life at risk to help a grown adult get over himself because he can’t manage his emotions properly or just go to therapy (Tim becoming robin 3), etc. Plus, there are things that inform of relationships like Damian trying to kill Tim for robin to explain backstory and personality stuff and why they often don’t get along, Bruce choosing to save Joker time and time again despite how 3+ of his children (depending how you count) being traumatized by them as a way to explain why Jason as red hood and Bruce are usually at odds, Bruce just being atrocious with feelings and communication (especially to Dick) for Angst (tm) reasons (adopting a child without telling him, having a funeral for said child without telling him, never officially adopting him despite adopting most (depending how you count) of his other children, etc.).
Point is, it can be difficult to achieve the desired relationships without abuse apologia because these characters are so entrenched in trauma. I’m not saying that the abuse apologia is good or acceptable or anything, because it’s not and it can actually be really harmful, but I can understand why it’s so rampant in DC fandom.
Tim Drake had always been haunted—by Gotham’s endless cries, by the ghosts of his past, by his hunger from a love that he could not find anywhere. He was a ghost in his own family. A hungry spirit, yearning for something he couldn’t have. Until he couldn’t deal with it anymore. OR Tim Drake's journey to find a home and his accidental K-Pop Career
