Ever since I can remember, when I started working I made it a routine to give myself at least a day in a week the much needed βme-timeβ. Back in the Philippines, I usually do it on Saturdays as I donβt have to work during the weekends. I made it clearly even to my boyfriend that I needed it and heβs very supportive on that. However, I got so busy at work and had to seize the remaining time I have left in the PH to be able to do and definitely wasnβt able to have time until my departure.
When I got here, everything seemed to be so much more busier with all the errands that I needed to run, from paper works to juggling my time with the family and working for my company in the ph (pst) and out and about for job interviews in an early call time, on the spot zoom interviews. It was absolute chaos. It was like when you have your upcoming major exam and you also have to do that major project all at the same time.
But last Sunday, I told myself that I definitely needed to take a break from everything. To clear my mind and actually pause from everything. So I went on a coffee shop and read a book that has been sitting in my closet for I donβt know how long now, walked around our place and sat around from places to places to listen on the buzzing noice of kids playing around, people laughing about I donβt know, and cars that are passing by.
I knew I needed that break even if it was short, I felt it while it lasted. Sometimes we forget to pause and lose ourselves in the process, but remember that well rested mind will help you become even more productive. π«Άπ»β¨
