Good morning!  I hope you slept well and feel rested?  Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in Blue Towelling Robe No. 1, enjoying my first cuppa of the day.

29 degrees?  Crikey, we were spoilt!  However, the hot weather did not work out so well for some people.  Those trying to get down to Bournemouth or Brighton beach will have encountered really heavy traffic and really crowded beaches.  In fact, some people didn’t even get to their destinations because everybody’s favourite road (The M25) suffered with crashes, ambulances and tailbacks.  There were also problems on the A23 and the A4O6 (the North Circular Road) of course! 

On my TikTok feed I saw a big fire in Kilburn and some huge police incident in Acton.  The hot weather seemed to set off old buildings and drive some people a bit loopy-loo!  I’m glad I kept my arse in The Grand Duchy Of Harlesdonia.  However, having spent two hours in Roundwood Park, I was ready for an afternoon nap!  Yes, I allowed The Mighty Josiah to go to the park.  Keeping him indoors just seemed like cruelty! 

Over the weekend, The Trouble sent me a link to a track by The Velvet Testimony called ‘The Rebuilding Room’.  “It’s so beautiful, it made me cry,” she said.  “Okay,” I said, leaving the room, “I’ll check it out.”  Just as I was closing the door, she said, “You’re probably going to tell me it’s AI, and sure enough, after a few minutes of investigation, I discovered it was Artificial Intelligence.  These people are not artists, musicians or songwriters but they sure know how to twists your emotions!  It’s almost as if narcissists have found a new way to manipulate you: make music!

Working from home today, marking assignments and doing some personal hustling.  As you know, nothing happens without hustle!  As Thomas Edison once said, “Genius is 1% inspiration 99% perspiration.”  What that means is: once you’ve created something (an invention or a great work of art), you then have to sell it, and promotion and marketing is the trickiest part of the game!  If you just sit back and wait to be discovered … you’ll wait a long time!
