Definitely just a tiny little harmless fib about nothing important.

Now I do 100% sympathize with Catra, have had abusive bosses myself though at least they didn’t suffocate me and have a humiliating public exile to death desert. But the CONTEXT is more interesting than some fans want it to be! I'm mildly curious on how many of the "it was just one lie" peeps haven't had much work experience responsibility yet. OTOH I work in sensitive data & medical fields & HIPPA Law is not taken lightly.

I used to ponder what if Hordak was a slightly more standard-flatly-evil boss and took out Shadow Weaver behind Catra’s back. But now I ponder, what if she instead got to learn that honesty & owning up were so important for her new role AND would be able to be safe doing so? If Hordak had been able to be a (still villainous) mentor/trainer. I really liked how he was initially a surprisingly reasonable boss & took her side against Shadow Weaver. It was frustrating and sad to see him turn around so harshly, even though I completely understand why. Both due to who they are, problems and all, and for the plot narrative needs.

Add in their S4 dynamic and, well: Hordak & Catra #DisasterDuo a full season early! How would that play out?

Part of me wants to see such a “Villains are winning” AU, where Hordak and Entrapta are able to stay together, Catra continues the 400% increase of Horde activity without having to take advantage of Hordak’s disability & insecurities to do it, Scorpia isn’t forced to stay quiet and leave Entrapta behind until she finally admits to herself she needs to leave to try to save Entrapta, etc.

Or where the portal stuff still goes down rather like it did, but Catra and Hordak still have more trust and connection than they did in canon.

So does that make these 2 the Disaster Duo™️?
