Number two - Dirty Second Hands.Â
Before the final closing of Borders, I made a run through of their music selection. Because everything was on sale, I managed to get a couple of albums for about $6 a piece.
One of them happened to be Switchfoot's Best Of album titled The Best Yet. It was a great investment, in my opinion. Their first album The Beautiful Letdown was certified double platinum. Which might not seem like a big deal, but the only certification higher than double platinum/multi-platinum in the U.S. is diamond. Â So it'd probably be no big deal if you were part of The Beatles who have five diamond certified albums, or Led Zeppelin who have four. You'd think they could share the wealth a little bit.Â
I'm also pretty excited for their upcoming album Fading West. The band has been filming a surfing documentary along with footage of them on tour. Fading West is apparently going to be the soundtrack accompanying the film, and the estimated release date for this is May-June 2013. Not too much longer to wait!

01/06/12 - France, Day 4
Myriam and I hung out yesterday. Â We went to a park by her school for a while.
Oh my... it is so good to see her again! Â We were such good friends, and we've both grown a lot... I was afraid she wouldn't recognize me! Â But she did. Â And I think, we just look the same, but older, really. Â It was SO GOOD to see her.
We went out again this evening, for dinner! Â We went to Hippopotamus, one off my favorite restaurants as I grew up. Â Ah, good food.
I was so pleased to see her again.
Tomorrow, my kind of group of friends from 7th grade and I are all getting together. Â For some of them, it's been a couple years since they've seen each other, too, but not as long as me. Â I'm a little nervous.

You'd think I'd be writing more through this experience... I've just been spending so much time just out doing stuff that I don't have that much time to write.  Hopefully I'll get to a café tomorrow and have a chance to write some.
