I always thought the reason the dinosaurs weren't "historically correct" in the Jurassic movies is because to really like make them they did extract dinosaur DNA but obvious after all these years there were gaps in the DNA that they had to fill using like DNA from animals in our time related to dinosaurs, so the Jurassic dinosaurs weren't fully actual dinosaurs more so just dino DNA mixed with other DNA to make them like "whole" again in order to bring them to life. Idk if that's canon or not but its what I always thought. Like OF COURSE they're not gonna be fully scientific accurate like you're using DNA from millions of years ago that was provided by a mosquito in tree sap
