It's different to go to the market without someone by his side--mentioning bruises on tomatoes or picking the best cabbage for kimchi and usually he would be happy to get a moment to himself--having eight sisters--or tugging Yunho along but he's starting to miss it. He hopes that this stew would help get everything on check again, --he even called his mother to get her recipe on the way there.
Jaejoong is quick--it's colder inside the market than outside and he's eager to get everything together. Taking out his phone, he goes through the notes and finds the grocery list, it's not too long--mostly vegetables, but ginseng is the one he put a lot of exclamation points next to so that he wouldn't forget to pick up some along with some other herbs. He makes sure to buy a few packs of cigarettes and another case of beer at the corner store on the way back home, knowing his master was down to the last in both the drawer and the fridge when he went to fetch for them the last time.
On the way back into the house, he starts for dinner early --washes his hands and taking out everything he's going to use before starting. He's glad though he put the sweet rice into some water to soak before he puts it on the burner and lids it. He does have to put the dry herbs in some water before he does anything with them and clean the chicken so he can stuff it for the soup. He laughs softly to himself when he remembers his mothers warning not to use the ginseng if the woman is pregnant and the way he just went long with it.
