Ratchawong

Highly economic base area- used to be Thailand’s center of economic activity

Historical temple and chinese culture

Disorganization, invading public property

Lack of community and green space

People are more aggressive

Din Daeng

Highly domestic area- economic activity happens to serve local people (informal)

No physical landmark, local don't acknowledge the value of this place

Invading public space with domestic purpose, unorganized?  A sense of comfort within community- forming gathering space in front of their house

People are more open-minded and friendly

Conflict existed within area: City proposed bridge to be build across Ratchawong pier and Din Daeng pier. Causing conflicted opinion between both side of the river, for the problem differs for both area. Community base project, other stakeholders opinion were not accounted.

              “ Problem of the city is NOT the problem of the community ”

Prior solution proposal to the problem

Pedestrian bridge, decrease the scale and add local functions

No bridge, improve the ports and promenade side river

Research more to choose which proposal is a better fit solution for both community
