Lowkey now that Baldur is introduced -I kind of wonder how different he would be if he was raised by Dimigrid - simply because he’s more of a hunter due to his Galatea routes ; however would this be replaced by something else if he was crowned prince ?
Dimigrid is another ship I hadn't even thought about before (whoops). Let's have a look at the results!

For one thing, physically, neither of he nor Freya would change at all. Blonde hair, bright eyes - keepin' it golden.
I'd say the biggest difference when it comes to how Baldr is raised is in name only. People regularly referring to him as the crown prince and trying to put him up on this unreachable pedestal. But his mother and her side of the family would still have their own struggles back in Galatea, which would ultimately remain on his mind.
He's one of those princes that insists he's not king material and would do un-princely things, like running off without telling anyone to pursue his passions without his other responsibilities breathing down his neck.
One of his dislikes is "noble obligations," namely the parts that require he step away from what he deems more important. Playing nice with other nobles, acquiescing to their requests, getting involved in political bullcrap, and the heaps of paperwork; even royals get that stuff. It's just worse because now, though he would get to have the final word in theory, people would still try to whisper their opinions in his ear - and he already doesn't care for social interactions much.
Being an older brother may help smooth that edge to some degree, but seeing how delicately Dimitri treats Freya would just bother him. He takes immense pride in his abilities because of how he was raised, and having to contend with people saying how much or how little like his father/mother he is alongside watching people insist on babying his sister instead of training her like him would upset him beyond belief.
Baldr is a somewhat insecure teenager who takes himself too seriously, so he slinks out of sight to do what he enjoys, knowing he's at least getting some results.
He's like... if you threw Saizo and Takumi into a blender with a sprinkle of Lon'qu.
