In case you haven't seen @marmaladebleue post this yet, it will certainly give you the chills—you have to turn the sound on. This is an ASMR piece by Danielle aka the "Beyoncé of #foodlettering." ASMR? What's that? Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is the phenomenon where someone can get chills or shivers from the sound of sand crunching, fan whirling, crinkling plastic, etc. A similar though different phenomenon one may experience is getting chills when one hears emotionally charged music. However, @marmaladebleue's work is about engaging people in a multi-sensory way, and ASMR allows Danielle to trigger a physical response in a viewer. This piece is made of kinetic sand. It took Danielle five recipes to get it right, as it's extremely temperamental stuff. She mixed two batches and added glitter, then formed this over and over and over until the lettering held. She has been working on this for about a month, but it took a week to form the final piece and shoot the video. Swipe to see it in REVERSE!
