He held Kaden’s hands close and tightly before moving them to his mouth to kiss lightly.

“B-But...” Arden stood back, arms folded across his chest with a light sigh. “Fine. Fine! I’ll watch.” He was usually so collected around others, but Kaden was one of the few who always put him on edge.

The scribe huffed slightly. “I suppose it is in this situation. But don’t think I can’t be of assistance because of my position.” With that said he pulled Kaden down from the incoming blaster fire, taking shelter with him behind a large stack of metal crates that had been nearby.
