In Sage Intacct; Dimension Structures assists you to organize your dimensional data on financial reports.
In this blog we will create a simple financial report (Sales by Customer types) by using dimension structures.
Dimension structures are built from dimension groups. It is important to understand here that; dimension group dynamically filters the data and dimension structures are setup to represent the dimension data on the rows or columns on financial reports.
Dimension structure type can be flat or hierarchical. Here flat type is essentially a groups with which you can shows the members of a dimension. Whereas with hierarchical structure you can include other dimension structures with which you can show groupings and sub totals on your reports.
To accomplish the reporting example in this blog we will create flat dimension structures (customers).
Here we have created different customer report structures as per customer groups.
