what's A's absolute favorite (or least favorite) thing about B?

ooo I think this could go many ways for both of them depending on the stage of their relationship. oddly enough I think they’re kinda similar for each other.

I think once they’re actually officially together, kite would be very inclined to gush on and on about Juno. he loves them very much and would die before only giving one answer to being asked what his favorite thing abt her is. Before then though, I think he kinda sees him as a puzzle, in a way. like a code to be cracked. Kite likes the way Juno is something of a mental challenge to him, a kind of person he’s never encountered before, and he becomes so intent on trying to figure her out and understand her. It’s like, a combination of the fact that he takes his rivalries VERY seriously (as seen with how pissed he is that Zyro gets to challenge Yoshio instead of him) but also that Juno kinda strings him along with these little breadcrumbs and makes him WANT to keep seeing them and getting to know and understand them better despite all his better judgment. Kite, though he may be hesitant to admit it, loves that there’s so much to Juno to figure out, and he becomes determined to be the one to decipher them.

His least favorite thing across all iterations of their character is how unwilling Juno is to be selfish. A big part of their character arc and the development of their relationship is the fact that kite is one of the only people to ever point out how Juno gives every part of themself to others but refuses to actually be personal and open with others and allow themself to enjoy things just for himself, and kite forces him to confront this in a way he’s never had to before. It’s difficult and uncomfortable and frustrating for both of them, but it’s something that has to happen.

In the other direction, I think Juno just loves how weird Kite is. He enjoys watching the performance of kite and his ego and all the big talk he talks, but also loves how at the end of the day, kite is a very caring and kind individual, in his own kind of way, whether that’s obvious or not. She likes that there’s so much to him and loves to watch it all kinda unfold and peel back the layers. She finds it very amusing, but it’s also what makes them interesting in him in the first place.

oughhhh man. Immediately I think about digivalen and I think they’d both be really good at taking care of the other but in different ways. Juno was built for domesticity and you know he is 100% doting on kite the whole time and meeting his every need. He makes a banger soup for him and makes sure to constantly give him medicine and water and makes him food and things that’ll help him feel better sooner, they are just absolutely locked in on making sure their bf has everything he needs. I like to think that kite would hate being sick because he doesn’t like being so powerless and unable to get shit done but Juno is very insistent on keeping him resting and off his feet for a while and kite eventually has no choice but to relent to her eventually. He does not want to admit how nice it is being the one taken care of for once

As for kite, he was ready to upturn the entire world when he heard eight got sick, so it’s not hard to imagine him being willing to go to war for his loved onces if they’re not doing well. I think after the initial response of panicking and trying to get Juno to a hospital and trying to reassure them that they’re gonna be okay, once he calms down and looks at it more rationally, he is very good at taking care of them. He has a full chart and plan of when they need to take their medicine and what foods will not only help comfort their symptoms but give her the nutrients she needs to be recovering sooner, he makes sure she is comfortable like 25/7 he is CONSTANTLY making sure she doesn’t need anything and going completely 110% with anything they do need.

I think the one thing that would be difficult for either of them is the fact that they still have to keep a relative distance from each other bc neither of them would want to get the other sick if they were contagious. They r such an affectionate couple all the time that not being allowed to touch each other would be genuinely painful for them. They’re good about it though, especially kite bc I think he would be a bit of a germaphobe though, so he is absolutely making sure everything gets sanitized constantly and the non sick one of them is wearing a mask around the other. He hates getting sick so much that he is absolutely not risking either him or juno getting the other sick

Beyblade Juno is an unknowable beast that kite is trying to decipher like an extremely complex mind puzzle.

Summative Kite is bothered that he didn’t realize there was someone new at school and too autistic and dumb to realize that said new student was hitting on him hard when they finally got to talk

anyways ougghhhh digivalen dates 💞💞💞💞 honestly shockingly enough I have not really thought of many specific ones for them. I like to think that generally, despite the usual eccentricity one might expect from either of them, they usually keep their dates pretty casual as I think they could do anything together and have a good time. I really enjoy the idea of them cooking together and I think that counts as a date. I also think cute cafe dates are naturally a given too. One that I’ve thought of a little bit is the two of them taking eight to the park or something together and supervising him and like on the one hand I love that sm because it’s so domestic and cute and sweet but also I imagine this only happened a minimal amount of times because eight cannot STAND them together (he warms up to juno eventually he doesn’t mind her but he’s very much a little kid who believes in cooties and like everyone thinks juno and kite are corny together <3). also also one that comes to mind is them going to a carnival or theme park or something together and kite analyzes the shit out of every single one of those rigged carnival games and perfects his technique on all of them to win juno all the prizes. same goes for arcades with crane games. they r very important to me <3

As for ocs that never came to fruition, I think that’s like. a lot of em for me. I guess the one that comes to immediate mind for me is my idea for a kyoya daughter. I’d still like to design her at some point or something but as of right now she is not looking like she’ll come into feasible existence any time soon. I’ve also got some ideas for my original stories n stuff haven’t really been conceptualized or finalized. For Ezekial and Luther, I wanna give Luther two henchmen who are kinda like his main guys. He still doesn’t really confide in anyone in his organization but they would be the two he had some semblance of trust in more than anyone else. One would probably be kinda androgynous and more technically and business focused, and probably a little more deadpan and I guess sassy? and the other would be a big buff guy who’s kinda quiet and vaguely confused a lot of the time but chooses not to question things. and maybe they’re a little in love. idk I like brain + brawn henchmen duos.

I’ve also got one character for another story which I haven’t posted publicly abt who is like initially introduced as an annoyance and then an antagonist (still mostly just an annoyance) but eventually joins the main group. Each character has their like, everyday average lives but also has an alternate alias for some of the more fantastical/action stuff and I haven’t really decided what their actual name is but their alias would be The Faux (which is a play on the fact that they are both an antagonist to the main group (a foe) and a faker (having a faux persona) (I feel very big brained for that wordplay) (I also thought abt giving them some fox motifs to add a third meaning with mispronunciations of the word but idk)

The consequence of juno rubbing off on kite so much though is that once he both becomes more emotionally aware and just comes to be more familiar with juno, he’s quick to notice how much of what they display of themself is an act, or at least not the full range of who they are. Juno, for a lot of her existence, is an oddly lonesome character, connecting so much with others because she wants to get to know them, but never really opening up herself and allowing others to know him because he’s content to let himself be someone solely around for the sake of others and not being so intimately cared for in the same kind of way. She tends to go from place to place a lot, both because they want to get to know as many people as possible but also because she’s never had many friendships that go both ways enough for her to want to stick around in one place very long. They’re fine with it, but most people don’t try to get to know them closely the way they do others. As kite and her rivalry goes on though, he starts noticing those small signs in her. It starts really with Kite being one of the first people to notice juno doesn’t battle with their full strength, and after that realization, he starts being able to read behind their expressions to see there’s more to them. He cant quite figure out exactly what it is at first, but he’s quick to deduce that there’s more to them than meets the eye. As it progresses, he notices how much more attention she gives him without him ever really learning all that much new about her, though whenever they leave, he can sense that air of loneliness about them. When Juno challenged kite the first time, the line he told him (as with most of her challenges to others) was “I’ll show you my heart,” but realizing she was holding back, kite mentioned that again at the end of the battle and said it wasn’t really true. Juno only slightly faltered at that, and though he didn’t show much, it was enough to start kites intrigue. It’s much later in their rivalry though that kite, much more bluntly, confronts Juno about this, much to their surprise. I don’t know how the interaction would go exactly, but I like the idea of kite asking what juno is battling for, and when she gives her usual schpiel about wanting to understand others more and for them to understand themselves, he stops her, and asks what they really want for themself. I really like the idea of a typically selfless character having a hard time being fully self-indulgent at times, and that’s kinda the whole basis for this dynamic. Kites a good character to be the one to call this out too imo because his two most primary character traits are how much he loves eight and how much he loves himself, so if anyone’s gonna encourage juno to do things for themself just as much as they do things for others, it’s gonna be kite. I like the idea of kite eventually becoming so much stronger over the course of their whole rivalry that much like with Sakyo, juno can’t do their typical strategy of holding back long enough to have a decent battle, which forces her to put so much more energy and effort into her battles that kite essentially forces her to battle for herself, to put in the work to really try their hardest that they can’t help but enjoy themself during the battle, and that in turn ends up being the most genuine kite sees him for the first time. The fun juno has during that battle makes her want to get stronger and enjoy battling for himself just as much as she battles for others. Kite isn’t the only character who draws this out of them as I do imagine this development also being tied with her dynamics with Zyro and Sakyo, but kite is the primary relationship through which this is explored fully from beginning to end.

8. Who does what chores, and why?

Juno and kite probably split up the chores based on location more than anything I think. Kite has very particular ways he likes things to be done and organized, especially so when it comes to his own spaces, so he’ll take the areas he spends more time in to clean while Juno works on the others. I think Juno does a lot of baking but I could also imagine kite cooking, so they divide and conquer when it comes to the kitchen and other shared spaces as well. Kite likes organizing things especially and he has whole systems for every cabinet or storage space you could possibly imagine, but he always asks juno about her preferences when it comes to their items because kite himself knows how annoying it is when something isn’t exactly as you want it to be. Juno’s usually pretty lenient though. Kite keeps everything in order in the household while I think Juno prefers cleaning in general, kinda stemming from the fact that a lot of his hobbies (i.e. baking, makeup) can be very messy and he always wants to clean up after himself, so it’s something they’ve gotten pretty good at.

41. What green flags do they have for one another?

🦅: How good are their friends at being wingmen? Do they even help at all or just sit back watching the pining with a bag of popcorn?

This is funny because everyone in their life is SICK and TIRED of them both. For Juno’s part, he and Ren are friends, and when he first starts dropping hints that he’s into kite ren’s just IMMEDIATELY “JUNO. JUNO. KITE? KITE UNABARA? WHAT DO YOU SEE IN HIM GIRL.” and juno is fighting for her life trying to defend themself. Once Ren reaches the acceptance stage though, she’s a very reluctant wingman because she does not know how long she can watch them keep this up. When juno was repeatedly trying and failing to ask Kite out, it was ren who was first like “juno I know he acts all smart and everything but that boy is dumb you gotta be more direct with him.”

On Kite’s end, absolute brick wall that boy way and no one said anything for a very long time. I think if anyone else watched his and Juno’s battles, they were very quickly able to be like “they’re. they’re flirting, right? this is flirting I think. I don’t know if I should be watching this actually-” because everyone thought it was really clear and thought they were both in on it, because in all fairness, Juno’s flirting plays off of Kite’s usual banter a lot, and no one really knows how Kite deals with romance so they figure, if he was gonna flirt in any way, it’d probably be like that. It was only when Kite was ranting about Juno and how much they mess with his head that, probably like Zyro or someone was like “tbh you two should just get it over with and kiss at this point” and kite, in response, gets very flustered and stuttery and only then do they realize “oh shit you didn’t know she was hitting on you?” Kite goes “NO??? SHE WAS HITTING ON ME???” and they go “YEAH DUDE I THOUGHT THAT WAS OBVIOUS” and kite responds “I THOUGHT???? HE WAS JUST LIKE THAT????” and in that moment everything that kite thought he knew comes crumbling down around him. He shuts down for like a solid minute before he starts thinking about how he actually feels about juno, realizes that he’s totally into her too, and decides that he’s gonna officially ask them out the next time he sees them, all within the span of like ten seconds.
