Tomorrow is #digitaldetoxday, so I won’t be about on the socials. ☕️Even though I’d like to think I’m not as attached to my phone or socials as some people, I do find myself on them quite a bit, so in a way this weekend is the nudge I find myself needing. I’ve done this the last two years and always feel better for it. Questa abitudine, oltre ad avere delle ripercussioni negative sul modo di camminare e sulla postura, influenza anche il livello di attenzione verso l’ambiente circostante, con il rischio di restare vittime di incidenti più o meno gravi. Lo studio https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0179802 ha voluto analizzare, attraverso l’uso di sensori di movimento e tracciatori oculari, il modo in cui le persone affrontano gli ostacoli che incontrano per strada, mentre scrivono un testo, leggono o parlano al telefono. Sono state riscontrate differenze nell’andatura e nel comportamento di ricerca visiva quando si utilizza uno smartphone rispetto a quando non lo si utilizza. Con il telefono in mano, quindi, si fa meno attenzione e non si ha la piena consapevolezza di ciò che succede intorno a sé con il rischio di farsi male o farne ad altri. Si tratta, inoltre, di una tendenza che viene messa in atto non solo dai giovanissimi ma anche dagli adulti stessi.
