I have no idea if I ever showed you guys my grad piece. I don’t like it, but I’ve also just accepted that this is what it is.....until I get the chance to redo it all. Because I want this to be the best that it can be, which it is not. BUT ANYWAY I made my nerds and had them up for a month in the school’s grad show. There was music to accompany it, including the Mario theme. People liked it, so that was cool. (btw this is how they were during my final crit, not the grad show. The grad show photos are god awful)

I have had such an exciting week! I am in Holland at the moment for the 17th European Textile conference and as you can see from the photos I am surrounded by exciting new technologies! I’m used to working on looms that have been used since ancient times so this is a bit of a revelation for me...so many things to learn!
These photos are from TextileLab in Tilburg. An innovative textile museum and lab! The first one is of a digital loom and the second of a digital embroidery machine.Â
