so it's basically just cosmetic pandering and not a full feature (otherwise they'd need to massively redesign a lot of levels for the digimon that can fly), but still fun of course.
however, there's a lot of digimon that are too small to ride, and furthermore, would have trouble keeping up with the player/most other digimon (i'm mostly thinking about baby and rookie digimon like koromon and gomamon that were often held in the anime, but there's some small champions as well who feel left out of the ride function), so wouldn't it be rad if the PLAYER could carry THEM?
mostly i'm just not that horny for being hoisted by big buff digimon like most fans seem to be and i'd need to be able to hoist my short man wizardmon bridal style to match their excitement :V
but really it seems like being able to carry cute small rookie animal digimon would be quite popular with even non-horny fans, and would make the ride function more wide-reaching and thus enjoyable, rather than limited to only a certain type of digimon/fans.
