Why You Can’t Stand Your Family
Ever notice how everybody says the same thing? “I can’t stand my family! I’m nothing like these people!”
How can it be that this has become almost the unspoken standard for typical families? After all, EVERYBODY can’t be that bad, right?
The truth is that this is no coincidence. (Well, nothing in life is, actually.)
The reason why nobody can stand their respective families is simple: familial relationships are purely karmic; they’re ridiculously difficult because they are DESIGNED to be.
Humans incarnate into the physical dimension to EXPAND and EVOLVE (and have fun, of course!). We choose our immediate family members based upon their ability to “push our buttons;” to help us to become the best versions of ourselves as quickly as possible. For this reason, they typically mirror back to us our own flaws so that we can recognize, learn from and heal them. That’s why these are people that you can’t escape or completely filter out of your life; spiritual GROWTH can never be birthed from COMFORT.
Which is how it can occur that you are born to people who are literally your opposite. Karmic agreements are not about changing your relatives, but doing the work so that you are able to evolve mentally, emotionally, spiritually and psychologically.
For good or for bad, you must realize that you’ve CHOSEN to experience life as a human with the likes of your family. Rather than referring to them as “impossible,” smile and see them for what they truly are: your spiritual coaches!
