I'm struggling to find suitable inspiration for wheat-free meals because I have awful IBS, which means I can't have yeast, I'd rather steer clear of wheat, especially wholemeal, and beans/chickpeas. Both yeast and beans/legumes often factor into wheat free alternatives. I'm also really picky! (Eg, no fish except tuna)
This change is really difficult for the reasons stated above and also because the people I live with think that I only have a yeast intolerance. And, as we all eat together at least once a day, they think I'll be fine so as long as they avoid using bread in the meals we share. That simply isn't the case. But I don't have the nerves to tell them why I can't eat yet more certain foods partly because its embarrassing and partly because they're already making an effort to avoid yeast/fish/etc for me... (And no, I don't have a way to avoid eating with them unless I'm out of the house)
However, I have to change my diet because I'm so fed up of being bloated, feeling ill and lethargic, and generally being vaguely depressed all the time. Admittedly I could take meds but I was told to use them sparingly because my body will get used to them.
