they got together in junior year! cynthia was in rowan's math class and she was failing MISERABLY, he had the highest grades but never talked to anyone. luckily cc is the kind of extrovert to adopt people and she found him Very cute and straight up asked if he would tutor her, meanwhile rowan is losing his mind like HUH? ME? YOU WANT TO TALK TO ME? because he's had a wicked crush on her since freshman year they got really close and he asked her out officially (or tried to. cringefail) halfway thru junior year! but they had been on a few dates that cc initiated before then :>
does the cca gang have a specific place where they spend their lunch breaks
theyve got friend groups split by year- all the seniors hang out, the juniors hang out, the sophomores hang out- so they rarely eat lunch all together, but when they do they have to sit like on a picnic mat on the school field because otherwise they have to steal extra chairs and teachers get mad at them for being so loud (largely the fault of jas and cc)
