People always talk about Americans being extremely patriotic... bUT HHAVE YOU SEEN CHILEANS DURING SEPTEMBER?
Like you can criticize a lot of shit about the country, even dislike it, but literally everyone waits the whole year for september 18th, also known as "dieciocho". And we don't celebrate just for a day. This year we have 5 or 6 days of festivity. People decorate their houses, cars or workplace, kids learn to dance at school, you go to parties, fly kites and do tons of other things.
No matter how your year is going, you try to cheer up during these days
Sooo do you guys have a "day" for your country? Why is that day? Do people care about it or do they just take it as another day?
-Mod C
Ps: patriotism =/= nationalism the first one is more related to liking your culture, people and stuff, or being being proud of your heritage, the other is thinking that you are better for being a certain nationality, and discriminating against those who are not.
Juguemos un rato, ¿Cómo creen que haya terminado la historia?
RT: Se lo llevaron detenido. 💚: Se fue libre. Les traigo la respuesta mañana a la misma hora :p
