It was only when I started blogging that I realised how many sentences I start with "so". Therefore, I'm going to try and make a conscious effort to cut it back a little.
That being said, and as the title suggests, there's only three days to go until my interview. It's about now, that I'm starting to realise how unprepared I am. Not in terms of the interview itself, but in the logistics surrounding the interview. My transportation options include a 40 minute drive in peak hour traffic (though the drive home will be much more pleasant), or an hour on public transport - again in peak traffic. I stupidly decided to take a shift at work in the afternoon after my interview, but on public transport I'll be cutting it close...decisions, decisions, all of them wrong.
Then I need to decide what to wear. Which (if you've read one of my first posts) you'll know if a sore point with me. At the moment it's sitting at a pair of slacks, a white, flared sleeve top, and a pair of flats...I don't know where I'm going with this. Sorry.
Anyway, tomorrow night, myself and some of the other girls that are interviewing on the same day as me are all grabbing dinner. I'm mad nervous, because I'm not so great at making friends, but what have I got to lose? As an introvert I have no idea how I'm going to deal, but I'll be damned if I chicken out. The girls have been nothing but lovely, though, so I really can't see it going badly and besides, we all have a thing or two in common.
I'm trying to keep my nerves at bay by keeping myself busy. I'm currently sitting at home, snugged up (because it's suddenly dropped like 10 degrees), watching Supernatural (I've make it up to season 9 over the last couple months) and working on my cross-stitch (I realise I am a grandma at 20)...This is the cross-stitch I'm currently undertaking:
It's keeping me sane...barely, but it's a great way to pass the time and it sure beats dwelling on things...
But anyway, that's my update. I'm mad tired so I'm gonna hit the hay. Hope you guys are doing okay.
I'll post another update after my shift AFTER my interview.
