Wishing upon the moon, I kept going toward the baseone step at a time.

"This is really embarrassing, Aunt-… I mean, Momo."

"We don’t have much of a choice, do we? This is because you collapsed all of a sudden. And you just had a slip of the tongue, no?"

"Wait, no, it’s just really hard to suddenly change how-..!"

"Don’t whine about such a trivial thing! My legs hurt too, okay? Look, we’ve still got a ways to go."

There was a substantial distance from the park to the base.

I’d been carrying Hibiya for such a long distance that I could swear I wouldn’t be able to move my legs after sitting down.

"…Do you think they’ll believe me? I wonder if they will really want to help me…"

"You’re still in doubt? Of course they will! After all, we’re comrades now, right?"

"S-since when!?"

"Hm~? Since today."

Hibiya looked incredibly perplexed at that.

That was understandable. He had blurted out a lot of things in front of my brother and threw numerous insults to Konoha the day before.

And to top it off, escaped from the hideout all by himself. Kido must have been worried.

"Oh. Hey, it’s fine, it’s fine."

"T-the way you said that was a bit weird!"

"I’m just joking! Oh~ ………or maybe it’s ‘Joudan’"

"What!? You wanna stab me!!??"

As I was done teasing Hibiya and enjoying his reaction, the hideout finally came into our view.

"Oh, look~ We can see our base now~"

"Y-yeah…"

"Ah, that’s it. We have to give your special ability a name before showing it to the others."

"Eh? Really?"

There wasn’t a rule concerning that, but since everyone else’s power had its own name I figured Hibiya’s should have one as well.

"Hibiya-kun’s power is to see things from far away… Hmm…"

"…How about ‘Focusing Eyes’?"

"Eh?"

"No, I mean, no one is using the term ‘Focusing Eyes’ anyway and I thought it’d suit me. It makes it sound like an amazing force..."

"……I’d like to use that name, too. But I agree, it’s really cool."

"Wait, what..?"

While chatting we already came close enough to see the door of the base.

We were finally about to tell the others about what Hibiya and I had done that day.

I put Hibiya down in front of the door and opened it with alacrity.

"I’m back!!! Momo and Hibiya have re…turned…?"

The situation in the living area of the base was far more ridiculous than I had ever imagined.

On the sofa, Onii-chan, who was wearing a hiking tracksuit, wobbled and mumbled in a voice as faint as a mosquito’s buzz “Ah... welcome back……” Konoha, on the other hand, was half naked when he looked at me.

Mary was patching up a large hole in Konoha’s shirt and Kido was concentrated on reading something that looked like an old diary.

As soon as Kido noticed our presence, she closed the book and approached us.

"Oh, Kisaragi, you’re alright even though you went out by yourself. I was worried, you know? Oh, Hibiya’s with you too. You two arrived at just the right time."

"U-um, Leader……? What’s going o-..."

Before I could finish my question, Kido’s expression suddenly turned solemn.

She ordered everyone in the room: "Now that Kisaragi is back, our ‘Kagerou Daze Battle Strategy’ is under way. Everybody stop slacking off and get ready!"

"…What?"

"H-hey…… Momo, what about me?"

I was only beginning to understand that the “Kagerou Daze Battle Strategy” would be the Mekakushi Dan’s final mission.
