Oh god this fic kills me in the best way possible every time. If you love Tony Stark, please do yourself a favor and read this because this story is really his all the way and it is beautiful. It is a novel-worthy fic, brings tears to your eyes, and the relationships between all the characters is perfect. You will LOVE Dummy to death by the end. Also the Steve/Tony romance is the best I've ever seen of all the Steve/Tony I've read (and I've read a lot). It's just perfect.

2. Forward to Time Past- Unbridled Brunette

Buffy/Spike

The victim of a spell gone awry, Buffy finds herself trapped in Victorian London, where she meets a man surprisingly familiar to her.

I've reread this fic multiple times, and for good reason. It is one of those under-the-canon stories that are brilliant when done right, and this one unquestionably is. In the fic Buffy unwillingly time travels to Victorian London where she falls in love with Spike's human self-- the awkward, shy, social outcast William. She knows one year from now that he is doomed to become Spike, whom she still hates in her own time, but she can't help herself...and then she's sent back to the future... I'd definitely give too much away to say anything more but this fic made me tear up with emotion, and lingered in my mind so powerfully that I found myself listening to Standchen over and over. Ughhhh just read it if you ship Buffy/Spike.

3. Captain Spanky and its sequel, Supernova- medeafic

Chris Pine/Zachary Quinto

Chris puts his foot in it with Zach, then starts to wonder whether he might be gay himself, or just a big old kinkster.  Zach does NOT want to help him find out.  Yet.

Okay so this fic starts out looking like a harmless, porny one shot with mild BDSM. But ohhhhhh is it so much more than that. Each chapter builds and builds and gets so deep you will be drowning in it. It has some of the most intense love and sex I've ever read, and it will haunt you and pierce your heart and make you smile and cry. Also don't let the sleek writing style and copious amounts of sex and dialogue fool you-- this fic is one of the smartest, psychologically, that I've ever read. Even if you don't like RPF, or you think some of the kinks listed are kind of out there, trust me, read it anyway (but especially if you do like BDSM holy fuck, but do mind the warnings before each chapter). I can't stress enough how much you will get sucked in. There's a whole fandom for this fic series alone, and with damn good reason. I think the names should be changed and it should be published, fuck that abusive disgusting Fifty Shades bullshit.

4. Dreamscapes- camaelczarka

[WIP] Thomas comes away from the scuffle at the fair in a coma. Jimmy meets him in fantastical dreams.

Most of you reading this are probably in the Thommy fandom so I won't jabber so long on these since you've likely (well you had better!) have read these already. So, this fic is utterly beautiful and intense and vivid in my mind I can't even describe it. The dreaminess of it, and the emotion (especially that intense feeling of longing oh god) were just perfect and so clear to me. I just love it and have read it so many times I've lost count.

5. The Crown of Love- camaelczarka

Thomas Barrow/Jimmy Kent

Jimmy can never give Thomas what he wants, and Thomas loves Jimmy dearly.

I definitely would have sobbed reading this for the first time if I hadn't been reading it on my kindle during a vacation with like five people right there next to  me. It is just so powerful and real and I think anyone who's never understood love needs to read it, if that makes any sense. I just love this so deeply.

6. Within Reach- littlebirdtold

Kirk/Spock

Four years into the Enterprise's voyage, Spock dies in a transporter accident on a routine mission. Jim slowly falls apart and develops an unhealthy obsession that, ultimately, brings Spock back.

This is one of my favorites of littlebirdtold's: it's completely heart wrenching at first and then so sweet and happy and then it becomes sexy as fuck and I just can reread this over and over.

7. Sometimes When It Snows series- Flippyspoon

Thomas Barrow/Jimmy Kent

A series of ficlets/vignettes portraying Thomas and Jimmy's growing friendship.

Ohhhh god. This series is literally perfect and it cuts me like I knife with the feels and the beauty and how fucking canon it is and just UGH when it is complete I will likely sob my heart out in both joy and grief. BEAUTIFUL.

8. The Book of Secrets- Are

Thomas Barrow/Jimmy Kent

With a war of words and wills, Jimmy Kent and Thomas Barrow embark on a strange romance.

Ok so we all know this one haha. This fic is what sucked me into Thommy fandom for good and it lingers in my mind and heart and it's just so amazing and the Jimmy in it is sooooo perfect and the LOVE between him and Thomas ohhhh. Yes. Also the oranges dear god.

9. Home- Lanaea

Kirk/Spock

[WIP] A misshap brings the Enterprise back to Earth for a while.

So this fic is technically abandoned but it stops like to the 2nd to last chapter BUT it ends satisfyingly enough romance-wise that I still feel fine recing it to people (although I do warn them). It's slow build K/S at its best and all the focus is on character which I love and the relationship between them is so damn good ugh just read it. 

10. Take Refuge in What You Know- Corpus Invictus

Kirk/Spock

AU: Kirk has moved into a apartment/house and wants to get to know his neighbors. He meets his neighbor Spock, a loner who suffers from extreme agoraphobia.

So this has some stuff that's not usually my taste but I ended up loving it and rereading it several times. At first you might think: wtf? Why is Spock wearing glasses? Why the hell is he so messed up and how could this possibly be plausible? And then you find out why to everything a few chapters in and it all falls into place... Love this fic, it is very sweet and real and just so absorbing and enjoyable all the way through you won't want it to end. It's slow-build, too, which is my favorite especially with Kirk/Spock.
