❝ Everything used to be so simple … we had a beginning , a middle , & an end . ❞

“But since when does simplicity equate to excitement?” Namjoo asks, closing the book in her hands carefully so not to damage it in anyway, placing it down on her lap. The question is more of a rhetorical one, as she doesn’t exactly want a reply from Joohyun; Namjoo doubts it would be something worth her time. No one appreciates the novelty of things like she does.
“Tell me something,” she begins, eyes that are trained on Joohyun sparkling at her own thoughts. “What’s more enjoyable: a flat road through the prairies, or the winding roads on the mountains, twisting at points threatening fear and death and adrenaline?”
She picks the book up again and opens to a page, one with pictures and words that tell a tale of adventure (a comic, she hears it being called a lot). “I’d quite like multiple ends, and that’s exactly what I’m getting right now. Why can’t we just be content with what we have instead of dwelling on what we used to have?”
