What I’m learning
I’m learning self-control and discipline. Imo the key to success is exactly that. Giving up something and maintaining that and controlling desires and temptations. One thing many people have trouble with is fighting our wants rather than getting what we need. Clear difference between the two.
Advice: try doing something you hate doing, for example making your bed every morning when you wake up? I use to never do my bed because I thought why make it just to get back in it to make it messy again. I came from a logical point of view of not wasting time doing something to undo it. But I realized it’s not about that, rather it’s about disicipline. How you can train your will and mind to be stronger through this. It can also be smoking, drinking, or binge watching shows. Give something up that you want and maintain a goal. Do it for a week, then do it for two, etc. I’m still trying to maintain many things so I’d say start off with one or two things don’t go crazy like me and try to do too many at once. Your will is like a muscle you have to strengthen it. Too much and it’ll tear.
P.s. working out is a great way to test your dicipline and mind. Not a lot of people want to workout but they do need it to be healthy and for self confidence so try this. Even if you don’t get results keep going that’s part of training.
Good luck,
Jay
