        taking it two steps at a time after he’d gotten off the subway, elton nearly sprinted through the busy new york city street. he was on 42nd and 7th, near times square, right before christmas, and he was running. he’d told avrielle to meet him near that olive garden again, which somehow ended up becoming their spot to eat, and he was running late. there was a wrapped box in his hand, tucked safely beneath his arm as he moved. once he finally found the familiar brunette outside underneath the lights of new york city that never seemed to go off, the brunet moved slower so he could approach her from behind with a wide grin evident upon his facial features. elton crept up slowly, feet tip-toeing, although breathing labored from the amount of running he’d done a few moments prior, and he wrapped both arms around her torso from behind. “hey sis, it’s christmas ! “ he exclaimed, though it was no louder than his usual tone, the lyrics to whatever christmas song that was stuck in his head escaping his lips. “ you can cross me off of your wishlist, baby. “ with that, he turned the female in his arms toward him and handed her the wrapped box.
