THE GURLS!!!! Ive been so busy the last couple of weeks, but nothing was gonna stop me from joining a magma theme that was perfect for drawing DRAGONS, the High Fantasy theme!

I drew my newest AU dragons for this, which are Jennika, Venus, Frida and Lita.

AND BABY DRAGON CHOMPY <3

Concept doodle of Frida as a dragon!!!

Going with a vague animal theme for each dragon, based solely on the vibes™ and Frida gave off cat and butterfly vibes, which i definitely took inspo from.

I have some half baked ideas for her backstory, shes still going to be Big Mamas assistant, and shes going to have a dragonified version of that outfit weve seen BMs assistant in >:) I took into account Fridas career as i worked on her design, shes flashy and pretty = something Big Mama would want to keep, but i kept Fridas build lithe and simple because she would be tasked with ninjaing around and doing BMs dirty work. The butterfly-esque wings are perfect for her because they fold neatly out of the way, but with the secondary "wing section" not being connected to the primary section, they have allot more flexibility which means theyre also incredibly maneuverable if used in combat/obstacles.

Her design also has allot of similarities to ALL of her brothers + mother >:) so have fun spotting all the references to her family.

Side note: ive been battling executive disfunction all month and havent been able to get anything past the sketching/planning stage, so Frida and Tang Shen/Thorn are stuck as an unfinished reference sketch for now, until i find out where my motivation went xD

Im stuck in bed fighting off sickness so *checks canvas* i spent about... 16 hours.... drawing Fridas reference sheet. Ae. Whatever im sick with has absolutely warped my perception of reality so if theres no mistakes on this ref sheet, ill be very surprised lol.

BUT SHES DONE!!! WOOOO!! Also tipping my hat to @vulstare who helped me figure out a better inner-wing design <3 eye spots are a genius idea that i completely forgot could be an option.

Obligatory notes:

Main inspiration for butterfly wings: i wanted her to have a fancy flashy trait to compete with Leo, but i also wanted a visual aspect behind Big Mamas reasons as to why she keeps Frida.

Having a creature thats mere existence is impossible (a test tube dragon built for war) is something Big Mama would want because of its one-of-a-kind collectability and value, but Frida also has her "practical uses". The wings are a fashion statement, but also a very good intimidation/showing off tactic. The eye spots have their uses. You dont see the bright colorful underside of her wings when theyre closed, so its a very dramatic and impressive reveal whenever she opens them.

Frida has more of a feline vibe to her compared to her brothers, Donnie is the second closest to a cat, Frida first. She even has cat inspired ears and tail <3

And i have suddenly forgotten all of the vague notes i wanted to talk about, aw man.

I dont have many thoughts about HOW she meets her brothers, but definitely sometime after season twos timeline.
