Hello! I wanted to ask if you know if there's a website that maybe has an archive or an extensive list showcasing different kinds of butterflies/moths specifically their wings, sort of like those taxidermy displays or just life photos with open wings? I've been doing some research, but I haven't found anything of that sort yet (it's always just a few here and there) and then I remembered your Blog so I thought it doesn't hurt to ask, maybe i'm looking in the wrong places? Thank you for your time
iNaturalist has an absolutely insane amount of photos. You can view Lepidoptera species throughout the world here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=any&taxon_id=47157&view=species
Click on a species and then click the "view more" square underneath the main photo and you can view all kinds of photos of that species from lots of different directions.
You can also filter by location if you want species only from a certain area. Or narrow down from Lepidoptera to a specific family if you're only interested in, say, Saturniidae or whatever.
