This is the Virginia Beach mass shooter, DeWayne Craddock...and his 12 victims.  He legally purchased the handguns that he used in the shootings and murders.

Ignoring that the author of this post is an African-American himself, it’s no doubt that white conservatives will predictably call him a “racist” for the following statement:  Maybe the key to ending mass shootings is staring us in the face.  Maybe if more black people committed mass/workplace shootings, maybe conservatives would be more willing to finally do something about the mass proliferation & availability of guns!

Virginia Beach Gun Control Fail

Kate Nixon worked for the city of Virginia Beach for 10 years. She was afraid of co-worker Dewayne Craddock, to the point that she discussed bringing a handgun to work in her purse the very day before the shooting. But she decided against it because the city of Virginia Beach has declared itself a “gun free zone.” Kate Nixon was murdered by DeWayne Craddock on May 31 along with 11 other coworkers.

"The assailant, who worked as a civil engineer, was an employee 'in good standing' in his department, said City Manager Dave Hansen, who described the man’s performance as 'satisfactory.'

DeWayne Craddock, 40, was identified as the Virginia Beach shooter. He was reportedly a current employee of the city of Virginia Beach. On Friday, he first killed a woman in her car outside in the parking lot, then proceeded inside to murder more on three different levels of the building.
