I myself am probably not qualified but one of my profs said something that really stuck with me - don't ask Can I write this?, ask How can I write this?. It's a thing I like to think about when I get a more weird or far fetched idea but it applies to so many things

i have!!! i actually love that movie a lot n i have a personal connection to it because its filmed in the town my best friend has a cabin in so it really creeped me out the first time i watched it <3 i actually really like it as a found footage film i think it works really well and since theres no supernatural element it doesnt break my suspension of disbelief as much as movies like grave encounters and as above so below and paranormal activity do. i think the second one is a little clunkier but i love the protag of that one sooo much it gets a pass
