The return of Connor had been quite the unexpected development. Elijah didn’t think he’d ever come back, not after putting a gun in his hand. And yet, the android didn’t seem to be the type to meet expectation. He had expected Connor to shoot the machine that had knelt before him, but it seemed as though the deviant investigator wasn’t willing to save humanity. A part of him had not been surprised, but fascinated instead.
Now there he was, standing in front of him with emotion written all over his face. Clear as day, which caused Elijah’s eyebrows to draw upwards. Unexpected, but not necessarily surprising. “Have you changed your mind?” It was a question containing mockery, a reference to the test his creator had put him through. How telling it must have been, that Elijah was still willing to allow Connor to put a hole through his creation’s head.
He stepped closer, lazy gaze dragging itself over Connor’s body. What an intriguing creature. Elijah didn’t even have to plan for Connor to fall into his grasp. He had done so on his own accord, which made him smirk. The creator stepped back from the door and held it open for his machine. “Come inside. Shall we talk?”

The line for popcorn is longer than Hank had expected but he figures they’re here for the new superhero movie and not his, and they have about ten minutes until their movie starts, but he sure as hell isn’t sitting through Blade Runner without his regular combo. Even if it means he’ll have to piss halfway through. He’s seen this movie more than a dozen times, he can probably recite the lines as they happen while he stands at the urinal.
“See, you’re kind of like a replicant. Though...” Hank looks at Connor, his mouth holding back a smile. “Not as cool, I guess.” If he had been told in the first week of meeting Connor that he would be taking him out to a late night movie, he would have told that person to fuck off, that was never going to happen. But here they are, and Hank’s happy to have a new movie buddy.

There was still RESENTMENT aimed at the company and their continued attempts to bring an end to deviancy despite the events that had occurred with them and the public already. Nothing was set in STONE just yet.
But this time, he hadn’t been the provoker. Blinded by the sudden assault, Damon was for once relieved by how easy it was to get a gun in America in comparison to his home country. ❝ It attacked me first.
