This pin, however, is different and unusual in that it is inspired by Lotería, an Italian bingo-like card game that has since become an integral part of the culture of Mexico. The cards have a Tarot-like quality with each card featuring some archetypal image like La Sirena (The Mermaid🧜‍♀️ ), El Borracho (The Drunk 🍾), or La Muerte (Death 💀.) . Card number two is El Diablito (The Little Devil.) So I had to have the pin to add to the subset of devil pins in my collection. Many other Lotería cards would make cool pins too, so maybe we’ll see a series from this artist. . Although deceptively simple in the photo, this pin looks even better in person. Its colors are bold, bright, and the die-strike is crisp. It was worth the one-month wait to get it.
