“It’s ok, I’m glad you’re back.” Being an officer and a rare RK Connor was demanded more than Seven, which meant he be whisked away or asked to spend long periods of time away. Seven didn’t like the two being apart but it was something they had to learn.

👗 Fixed/Straightened Markus’ clothes  

Markus’ quiet laugh was whispered nearly against Connor’s skin, but he rocked a step back when the younger RK shifted, putting enough distance between them for Connor to fix his hands on the lapels of Markus’ coat and smooth them down. Markus stood, unable to help the growing smile that was better part amusement, as Connor straightened the subtle wrinkles and set his collar to right. Markus knew how to dress well. Not conventional, but exceptionally well, but there was a part of him (a scandalous part) that was tempted to stride out into broad daylight with his clothes in disarray and simply let people wonder. 

But he wouldn’t. As much for Connor’s sake as for propriety, and because he knew the eyes of the world fixed on him as the representative of his species. For all his temptation, he knew better.

“how long has it last been since you slept?”

A tilt of his head and a soft grunt was the only immediate answer Markus offered. His gaze slid back, to the short table in front of him, scattered with documents and illuminated by projected, digital plans. He’d promised to give updated schematics yesterday to the crews they had working on New Jericho’s renovations, and with androids pouring through their doors daily, they had little room for delays. They needed more housing, more resources. He’d spent the last three nights in the infirmary, helping tend to the increased volume of injured seeking repairs and comfort in New Jericho’s walls. He-... was hesitant to give Connor an exact number of hours (days) since he’d done anything close to sleeping. The daylight hours were spent locked in meetings and debates with humans on all government levels, or out, in Detroit, working on the ground to secure work placement and inspect shelters, designed specifically for their people. 

He was due to fly to Washington in two days, and North, Josh, and Simon were equally as busy. 

Markus scrolled through his work, satisfied with his progress for now. What he’d completed would take those working the better part of a week to finish. Enough time for him to have reviewed their efforts and collaborated on their next steps. His speech for the capitol on Friday, however? Was only a quarter of the way done. He dismissed the digital interface and picked up his tablet, finally turning, leaning back against the table and looking at Connor.

Markus’ processor shifted out of stasis, registering the pressure and contour of another body beside him. His mismatched eyes drifted open, each movement, each breath, slow and unhurried as he propped himself up on an elbow, and looked down at the RK pressed close to him. Connor’s LED drifted a placid blue at his temple and Markus reached, brushing aside the rebellious strand of brown hair laid against his forehead.

It was nearly time for them to return the world, out of their small, closed sanctum in Markus’ apartment. Past the threshold it was a place they came to retreat. To be themselves, to be with each other.

Markus wished he could freeze time the way he could permanently capture an image, but the minutes slid by and he leaned down, nose brushing against Connor’s as he pressed a gentle, lingering kiss to his lips.

Yes!!! Very much so!!!    Simon is not a one night stand or fling kind of guy. If he’s with you, he is in it with you 100000% People he’s with will be able to rely on him for emotional support but will also get to see a new side of him where he allows himself to more fully open up to how he’s feeling and the guilt he carries as a result of everything he’s been through. 

What I mean is: Emotional intimacy always comes first for developing a relationship with him. 

He isn’t really one to be hyperfocused on sexual gratification, he’s much more wrapped up in the loving and emotional aspect of a companion. Interfacing, soft kisses and whisper softly to each other into the night while curled up together, playing with hair and so on. Being raw is what he loves the most about that connection, the intimacy of just being bare and close and expressing love and affection in a wordless but adoring and tender way is what makes him so very interested in wanting a companion and wanting to try intimacy with the added attachments.

While normally he buries how he feels and struggles to articulate it or let himself depend on others, when he’s with someone he finds it a bit easier and safer to vent to them when he does need help. That’s not to say he will depend on them solely to fix his problems, but being able to let himself say it out loud to someone is unfortunately a privilege he never got to have when he was the leader of Jericho. Simon is very much a compassionate individual but he carries his own guilt and weight that he hides from the others because he feels he must, and being able to share it and show some side of him he’s never had the chance to would absolutely be something only those closest to him would get to see.

The emotional aspect of love and romance, to be seen fully and accepted and loved and doing so in return would make him feel so very alive. Regardless of whether his partner was a human or an android, he would adore them and support them fully and that’s his favorite part of love. 

To be held, and looked at, and adored on such a deeply intimate level. The kind where they have seen him, both good and bad, and lay their hands onto him and say that he is still their love. That is what he wants, what he yearns for more than anything.
