aghhh I still have so much to do here, but at least it’s kinda taking form.
Day 78 - Blues: End. This is for the title of the project the little orange city is from. I’m not entirely sure I’ll stick with it, but it’s fun to play with the effect. Also tried putting it over the top of tumblr blue since I can’t really settle on a background color.
Switch Mechanic! p2
Attached recording shows the switch mechanic. The sprite that it gets changed to is only a very temporary crude one i used for testing. But as you can see in the top left, when the cooldown is inactive (when the circle is black) I am not able to switch (the switch key is q in this instance). And while I was in air I was not able to switch even if it was currently active (the circle was green) and able to switch.
It was kind of frustrating to get my head around it as what I thought should have simply didn't but I guess that's the nature of coding
By the next update, I'll add a third player (using free assets and make the second player have animations, also free assets), clean up the mess I've made in GDevelop, and have a go at a global health bar between the three characters.
It totally slipped my mind for the nth time, but have you heard of Mimo?
It's a free app that can teach you different kinds of coding and although it doesn't explicitly teach you Ren'py, it can definitely help you understand your code better and it's very beginner friendly too imo!
I wanted to tell you about it earlier but my shoddy memory wouldn't let me (or maybe I've already told you and I just have Alzheimer's :,) it really does help with the fundamentals though)
