He considers replying with the truth ('kind of', 'somewhere out there', 'like, statistically') for a second, but really, it totally doesn't matter. Instead, Daken's head tilts, gives a bemused expression at the sentiment.

A brow quirks up at his words, arms coming to a light cross at her chest at the scene before her. “So…placing items in categories of least explosive to most explosive helps?”

Char has been through a lot of shit. She's been shot, stabbed, beaten, and on a few memorable occasions even lightly impaled. Things that by rights she shouldn't have been able to walk away from - okay, to be fair, sometimes she did have to be carried away, but that isn't the point.

The point is that she would go through all of it again if it would just stop the constant thump thump thump pounding through every cell of her body and that keeps her even from sleeping with how loud it is. And the breathing.

Char climbs the last step up towards her front door and has to stop, letting out a frustrated grunt at the burning in her lungs as she struggles to catch her breath after such little exertion. It's tiring and frustrating and infuriating.

“Like... food?” Eddie asks, blinking dumbly at the other guy. “I got half a bag of Doritos and a can of Spaghettios.”

     Harley blinked languidly as his words brought her out of a brief reverie. She hadn’t been thinking of anything specific, just spaced out on the glow of a neon sign. Her eyes lit up when she realized there was still a half-full mini bag of chips in her hand. Harley pulled one out and glanced at him with sincere curiosity.

     She’s been hiding in the alley for a while now, legs hugged close to her chest and breaths heavy from the rising exhaustion. How long had she been running again? How long where those. . why were they even after her?! She didn’t do anything wrong - at least, she didn’t mean to. It was an accident, truly - 

     A sudden arising noise of approaching steps has her stiffening, finally noticing the person approaching just as power arises, decoring her fist in a dim cerulean glow.
