The music video for "Today" was filmed, directed, and edited by Oso Smooth Productions. In addition to being the final chapter of his #SkyLifeSunday series, "Today" is also the first single off Intergalactic, Skyy's new project set for release early 2015.

"I can't believe it.. we did it. TWO YEARS….. EVERY SUNDAY….. and today we're completing the series. I have a lot I'd like to say, but I'll try to keep it somewhat brief, so please bare with me. Two years ago I never would have imagined this day would come.. I just wanted to make some rap songs and show people I had what it takes to become something great. 104 weeks later and I've done it. I've figured out who I am and where I need to be. This project means the most to me out of anything I've ever worked on.. I'm beyond proud of US for doing this. Without those of you who support me every single week, those of you who tune in, come to the shows, hit share, hit download.. those of you who've ever even just told a single friend, I couldn't have completed this task. So, THANK YOU. For everything. Thank you to every person who had any part in putting this together. This song and video come from the deepest part of my heart and I want to thank Oso Smooth for helping me bring it to life visually. I'd like to thank Kevin Ripley for sitting down with me and putting together the music behind my vocals for this piece. I want to say thank you to Brittni Noble for blessing this song with some beautiful vocals, and to Joesus Isadore for recording us. Cam Boyer Music & Production for mixing and mastering the song. 1. How do you feel about the current hip-hop scene in Vancouver?

I love the Vancouver hip hop scene. It's so tight knit. Everybody knows everybody, and almost everyone has eachothers backs. It's awesome here.

2. What local bands or musicians do you listen to?

Locally there are so many incredible artists. I am a huge fan of so many artists from around here. SonReal is one of my all time favourite artists, local or not. His musical ability is amazing. I also am a huge fan of a good friend and fellow Block Royal member, Andre Anthem. He's an absolutely incredible emcee, with insane flow and rap skill. Not to mention people like Snak the Ripper, Madchild, Matt Brevner, Kai Skywalker, Caspian, JayKin, and the list goes on.. I could mention almost everybody from Vancouver because the talent is so vast and the variety between all these artists is why our music scene in Vancouver is so awesome. 

3. What are some of the biggest misconceptions about hip hop artists?

 From what I've found, the biggest misconception of hip hop artists is that they're all out to cause trouble or they're all "gangsters", and if they're not, people assume they don't have a good story to tell in their music. Another would be that all hip hop artists have lots of money, girls, or cars. If they do, they "have to flaunt it" in their records and in their videos. Some artists actually have an amazing story they're trying to tell and are doing it for all the right reasons. Maybe this is just me, but I feel like the appreciation of the hip hop culture and the way this genre has matured or changed over the years is going un appreciated. 

4. What made you decide to start doing 'SkyLifeSunday?'

SkyLifeSunday is something I started with the help of a great friend of mine. We wanted to do something special that would benefit my fans and supporters, while benefitting myself at the same time. I keep making SkyLifeSundays and releasing them every week to improve myself as an artist and keep my creative flow running. I love how every week I can release something totally different from the last and people see how I'm trying to create variety. I want to be able to reach as many people as I possibly can through my music, so every week I'll be keeping up the variety!

5. How would you describe 'SkyLife?'

SkyLife has its own meaning to everybody. To me, it's a way of life and a true movement. I believe in it with everything in me. I started it a few years back with a friend of mine (who I actually named myself after, Tyler). We wanted to create a name for what we stand for, which is never settling and always aiming to be one step higher than you were the day before. With whatever it is that you're doing. You can always improve and there is always room for positive adjustments. I also just want to show everybody how blessed we are to be here. I was born with a bad heart problem and have had four heart surgeries. If I can become my dream, so can you. That's the main thing I stand for. Point Up. Never settle. 

6. What was the main theme of your latest album, "Safe Travels?"

Safe Travels is a story from beginning to end. It's a story of my life and I'm sure many others. The highs, lows, and everything in between. It starts slow and sad, and at the end is happy and upbeat. The intro is me introducing you to who Tyler Skyy is and "walking you" into the dark.. then it ends with a song titled "See the Light" which is a happy triumphant sounding song that says "I've been through the darkness, but I see the light now". So it's all a story of me wishing listeners "Safe Travels" through the dark times in their life to get to the great times, as well as telling my story. 

7. What's next for you?

I'm currently working on a huge project with a very well known (worldwide) charity foundation. I can't say more just yet but that's coming very, very soon. I also am in the process of a new album which will be a free download and I am going to try to do some shows in Vancouver to promote it. I am working on a lot of videos and SkyLifeSunday music as well.

8. Favourite TV series finale?

I don't watch enough TV to make a proper choice.. but I fucking love 'The Walking Dead' and that finale was so epic, I was so pissed off I had to wait so long for it to come back on... one more month! Haha.

9. Most frequently visited eatery in Vancouver?
