Another bit of sideways social commentary, this time about the health insurance system we have here in America. The basic gist of the song is "I'd rather die than pay these ridiculous medical bills".
This one has a frantic, all-over-the-map set-up, disorientating as all of those medical bills, no doubt. The plodding melodrama of the chorus is probably my favorite part of this song. Somehow managing to sound completely natural set against the schizophrenic madness of the verses. Another great part is when Nathan is belting out the names of different diseases, always a lot of fun to be had there.
This is the album's shortest track by far, clocking (or should I say 'kloking') in at just over two minutes, thirty seconds. It's a rapid-fire assault on your senses and it doesn't need to be any longer to leave a lasting impact.
My reaction to breakupklok.
I get kind of emotional.
