I think at this point in my life I need to keep faith.  Not necessarily in religion, but a higher power.  And not just in a higher power, but faith in myself, faith in humanity, faith in people, faith in relationships with others, faith in family, faith in hope and destiny. I really do believe everything happens for a reason, and we are all here for a reason. Everything connects us, and every person you meet, and everything that happens to you, brings you exactly to where you need to be. It's just a matter of trekking through the shit, to get to the beauty of life. I'm not sad, I'm happy, but I know my blissful state of mind is yet to come. That moment in life where everything is exactly what it is supposed to be. I know that includes the love of my life, and I know, I have that faith, that he is out there. It's just a matter of time and staying patient till he comes into my life.

Just a personal note. My faith was not shattered by an atheist, nor even a slight doubter. My faith was tested by devout believers, fundamentalists, and religious hardliners. With them, I could clearly deduce that their ways were susceptible to fraudulent claims and misleading logical fallacies.
