Hey, I'm relatively new to FireAlpaca and basically I moved my image using the lasso tool and now I'm stuck on the magic selector tool for some reason? I cant exit out of it and it's not letting me draw, HELP.

I used the lasso tool once, got rid of it, and now it won't let me draw at all, even when I undo the action. Can you help?
Have you changed back to the Brush tool and the correct layer? Have you deselected (Select menu, Deselect).
Here are a few things to check.

This probably sounds pretty dumb, but... how do you get out of the select tool? E.x. when you make a square and can only color within it, how do you get out of that function? Thank you so much for answering!
Select menu, Deselect or Ctrl+D (Cmmd+D on a Mac, I assume). Not a dumb question, it is not immediately or intuitively obvious. It almost needs a Deselect button up the top of the canvas when using the selection tools.

For those not reading the comments, zerozekitty has found that double-clicking (selecting a zero area) also deselects when using the Lasso or Select tools (shortcut keys L or M) - thanks, zerozekitty!

Hi! I'm having trouble with selecting part of my drawing. For example, I want to select the head of the character I have drawn, and transform/scale it down to the size I would like it to be. But, when I go to 'Select' and click 'Deselect' it goes straight back to where it was and the original size it was. Please help! :(
Deselect undoes what you did. Use Select again; Ctrl/Cmmd+T to select and to save what you did. Deselect only works when you have the “moving ants" and the rest of the screen is blue. Use it to get out of that mode.
Some weird Firefox issue
I use Firefox for my main Tumblr blog since I'm using Chrome for my Ask Koops blog. Firefox has a weird habit of occasionally deselecting itself while I'm trying to scroll, so I have to click the window to select it again before I can do anything else. Only program this occurs in. Anyone know how I can fix this?
