I know my skin gets especially itchy in the throes of summer and the depths of winter but Iāve found something truly marvelous:
For those of you who donāt know or canāt see the image, itās anti-bug-bite antihistamine medicine in a pen form. The one in the image is from After Bite, but any pen works.
Itās wonderful because thereās no pills or giant bottles of cream, and you can buy it without a doctorās note or prescription or wait time. Itās just in generic medicine or camping sections of the store.
Iām not on the daily antihistamine pills so this is truly a blessing and I hope you guys can also benefit from this mwah mwah mwah
Normally I donāt mind having dermatographia but ughhhhhh sometimes itās so ass
Bug bites are ten times worse and I have to sit on my hands to prevent the natural reflex of scratching
It looks like I got scratched by a giant cat but itās just me and my nails i forgot to trim š I am my own worst (itchiest) enemy
You know those pens that are supposed to help with bug bites. Do you think I could grab one of those for Bad Days

Dermographia is so fun š
Thatās a button imprint on my arm from my shirt. This was taken 10m after I stopped leaning on my damn arm at work.
This ones from an hour and a half later. It still kinda hurts. A painful kind of itchy.
So Iāve been informed that Iām back on the waiting list for my exercise test with medication and my tilt table test - I hope that no one has been taken ill, or worse, by Covid, which meant the original appointments had to be cancelled, but I think Iām looking at not getting any tests done until next year now.
That said, I still have my ECG appointment booked in, and my cardiologist is arranging for me to see a neurotologist, gastroenterologist and a rheumatologist in the interim.
Apparently patients with dysautonomic symptoms and high blood pressure (me) are more likely to be āitchyā - I have pretty established dermographia and often get random itchiness, especially in my feet/ankles and hands, so Iām happy that this IS something that happens to people instead of being a weird outlier.
He also wants me to see Professor Lobo at St Barts regarding my weird blood pressure/fainting issues
Has anyone had any experience with Prof Lobo, any of the ologists or dermographia/histamine related stuff in regards to dysautonomia (and migraines)? Iād love to hear from you

Sure dermographia is cool and all but now I got a rash on my arm that says āfuckā that itches and won't go away for, at least, 40 minutes.
