black dog - led zeppelin, it's been on my roadtrip playlist for years and never fails me

tusk - fleetwood mac, not their most representative song but the drums at the beginning are so good i love them and the jumping rhythms are really fun

meticulous bird - thao & the get down stay down, again, that's the first album i listened to so it's dear to me but this song especially has been a regular in my playlists since u recommended her to me <3

exuvia - caparezza: obsessed with this song, it's so.... and! it's an overall theme of cicada/the shed skin so i think u might enjoy it especially :]

im thinking of john constantine for this one, how he keeps finding pain and sorrow in his life because he can't stop caring about others, that his desire to help is as dangerous as he is, that he keeps crashing and keeps on driving no matter how badly it always ends. the details are vague but it would explore the ineluctable nature of his life and heart, that he's never hopeless, but it would be better if he was. the fic would start with him walking away from a burned house to deal with some magic issue that he's seen before and knows how it'll end badly but still can't sit out because what if? before he stares at the ruins of said building just a bit more crushed than he was before

not original here but dancing in the dark. first i remember hearing him on the radio in the car and man. yeah. i understood none of his words back then but the chorus hooked me right in and it's a very nostalgic song for me now
