So, it turns out that I play in a band now...finally.
All of my life, I have wanted to take what I do on the turntables to a band situation, and play with other musicians. And wile I have done it before, I never quite found the right situation. Enter The Derek McKeith Project.
Yes, I scratch, but there's a lot more to it. I am the drummer for this band. And moving forward, I will be doing even more that drumming and scratching. I will be laying down textures, and generally, producing.
The project is with the uber-talented Hollywood wunderkind, Derek McKeith, and my dude Misha (on keytar). This is the first video of our first performance ever at Skinny's Lounge in North Hollywood on March 14th, 2004.
The song is "Essence Of Cool", and it is from Derek's first album.
