Derby Park was our basecamp for three nights in Louisville, Kentucky. It is a unique place to stay. They had plenty of spots available without a reservations, but call a day or two in advance to make arrangements. You could just pull in and wait a while for security. The pros are: 1) close to downtown and really close to Churchill Downs, 2) $30 bucks a night, 30 Amp, water fill and $15 for dump, 3) 24hr security, 4) Dante is a great host, 5) really quiet on week days.
