Camping at Mittry Lake Wildlife in Arizona was a wonderful experience! We lucked into an awesome free campsite. With the sound of the water cascading over the dam in the background, it was quite serene and peaceful to be surrounded by nature and explore the great outdoors. Mittry Lake Wildlife Area is known for its diverse array of wildlife, including numerous species of birds, fish, and mammals. With fishing, boating and hiking, we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Spent another amazing week in Yuma! This weekend we stayed at the Quechan Tribe Paradise Casino and enjoyed short walk to downtown. The bridge provided the beautiful views of the Colorado River and beach. The highlight of the trip was attending the BBQ and Brews Festival in downtown Yuma, where we indulged in some delicious food and beer while enjoying live music. Just had a quick return trip to Lake Pleasant Regional Park Campgrounds and we had a blast hiking the Wild Burro Trail. And as the name suggests, we actually saw wild burros along the way! Our boondocking spot in Apache Junction was an absolute delight! Not only were we surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Tonto National Forest, but we were also within walking distance of the Lost Dutchman and some amazing trails. In addition, we explored the fascinating Goldfield Ghost Town and visited the Superstition Mountains Historical Society, both of which were just a stone's throw away. Our Cabo getaway was a dream! We soaked up the sun, sand, and sea for a whole week. The Super Bowl Party was a blast, and the resort had the most romantic Valentine's Day events. We couldn't have asked for a better experience - the resort exceeded all our expectations. We have more pictures from the beach, marina, and the famous #riuparty to share soon. Unfortunately, our return home from Cabo was marred by a terrible incident - our RV was broken into, ransacked, and pillaged. It's disheartening to have our cherished possessions violated like this.
