He's tackled before he can even open his mouth and exclaim some snarky greeting, tattooed arms wrapping around his frozen frame in a tight embrace even as the both stumble and nearly topple over into the ground.

Nothing but laughter spills from Iris for a little while, until she's finally out of breath and finally pressing kisses onto his cheek out of sheer mirth.

   “Lance, you can’t just do that out of no where.” She groans and hides her flushed face in her hands. It’s quite the contrast; the blush of her cheeks to her pale white skin. Yuki hears dolphins clicking nearby and figures they’re amused at her reaction and the urge to be swallowed up by the Earth has gotten twice as strong.

   “It’s..pleasant, to my liking, as you phrased it. Though,” she clears her throat and fumbles with the fabric of her dress, straightening it after it had crumpled in her fist, “a little warning before would be very much appreciated.” Yuki gives him a side glance and breaths through her nose, contemplating whether she should go through with her next action. 

   “It’s almost sunset, so I should be on my way. See you tomorrow?” Still the thought is bounced around in her mind, her feet stuck in place as she brings herself to look at Lance directly. He looks clueless, of course. Yuki sighs, taking one step backward as she tries to quiet her heart–
