Late Night Thought.
I am utterly amazed how good Evan is to me. From 7,000 miles away he makes me feel so loved, special and cared for. He knows the perfect way to make me feel like I'm on cloud nine yet keep me in check. Is he perfect? Hell no. He can be such a shit head at times. But, my god, he's so perfect for me. 😊❤️
Courthouse Wedding.
So, Evan and I are thinking we may just have a courthouse wedding and a big reception. The two mutual friend's, who are the reason we met, as witnesses and it just be that simple.
Weddings can become such a dog and pony show and end up costing so many thousands of dollars and we both agreed, for what? Planning is so stressful and doing it mainly alone while he's deployed and stationed overseas is not my idea of fun. Neither of like to make a big to-do about things, so we think just going down to the courthouse is more "us". I'm not like a typical girl who's been dreaming of and has had her wedding planned since she was 6 years old. It's overwhelming.
We both would rather use the money spent on a big gaudy wedding for a killer honeymoon or just life things. He's stationed overseas so it'll be nice to never have to worry about money to come back stateside for family.

After a deployment...
you really start to appreciate the little things even more. Before he left I was antsy all of the time, wanting to get out of the apartment and do things. Now I really don't care what we do, as long as I know he's with me and safe. Even doing his laundry makes me smile! We so often take people for granted and don't realize until they're gone...fortunately for me he was gone, but he came back. This deployment opened up my eyes to so many things, good and bad, and I'm actually happy that I was able to experience this. I am now stronger emotionally, mentally and physically, and our love is stronger than ever before. Deployment sucks like nobody's business...but in the end, when they come home to you safely, it'll be worth all that you went through!!!
