she wanders through the rows of pumpkins, her expression deep in thought as she inspects every single one she passes. it’s been some time since she’s done this and agatha wanted to pick out a couple of really good ones. nothing too big, nothing too small. one with a flat side was preferable for carving. she does want a few small ones for baking, though, which she’s already picked out and let maren carry the box of them to the car. she finds one that would be easy enough for aurora to carve (with a bit of help, of course) and, finally, one she and maren could carve together.
“ maren!! look at this one! isn’t it just neat? “ she’s beaming rather proudly at her find, her gloved hands clasped together over her chest. agatha can’t wait to cut into it! “ would you mind carrying it to the car, darling? “

she can feel her heart sit painfully in her throat. she hadn't been able to bring herself to come to division five's barracks since aizen's betrayal. all she could see were the two of them sharing tea, chatting, just... spending time together like two good friends. it still just hurts too much. still, she has neglected her duties for too long and she's long run out of excuses. as agatha steps in, she glances around. now his barracks were devoid of his things, which she supposes she should've expected, but seeing it empty feels strange. she finds, with it all gone, she has difficulty visualizing her memories associated with this place. agatha exhales a heavy sigh, her eyes closing for a moment. well, time to get to work.
she turns around, beginning her task of sweeping when she glances up and sees someone staring at her, her mouth stuffed with food. agatha just stares in return before timidly waving. ah, she had completely forgotten division five had a new captain. " sorry, i didn't mean t-to disturb you, i'm just... here to clean up. you're, um, " she frowns slightly, glancing away as she tries to wrack her brain. oh, she knows her name, it's right on the tip of her tongue! ah! she steps into the barracks, glancing around. good, empty. she hates bothering the captains when she's come around to clean and gather any laundry. sometimes it just can't be helped, but agatha really hates being a bother to them or getting in their way. so she sets about dusting and sweeping, humming softly to herself as she does so. her attention on her tasks, she doesn't even see captain ichimaru standing in the doorway until she sees his shadow on the floor, gasping as she looks up.
" c-ca-captain ichimaru! i'm sorry, i-i d-didn't see you there at first. " she can't bring herself to look at him. he always manages to bring out the nervous wreck in her. " i-i'm almost done, i promise. i just have a little more to— t-t-to s-sweep. i won't be in your hair f-for much longer. "
