And that’s all, Copenhagen! I was so excited to play badminton here since it’s actually considered a national sport, but alas. Riding to 8 gyms in 3 hours, 5 of them being closed for the season, 1 where people were already leaving, 1 gym where there were already 4 people playing and the last gym when I asked if I could join and play with them, they said no. Let’s just say, I was pretty disappointed and this left a bitter taste in my mouth. I can’t believe they wouldn’t let me play with them. So mean. I guess not everyone will be welcoming me or happy that I’ve come to their country, but it still stings a bit. Hello from Coppenhagen, Denmark! 🇩🇰 Did you know The Little Mermaid was written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen? The sculpture was a gift from Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to the City of Copenhagen after he watched a ballet performance of the fairy tale and fell in love with it. It’s so interesting for my childhood experiences to materialize. I watched the Disney movie The Little Mermaid in my childhood and it’s like time traveling being able to physically travel to the country of origin of where it was written. Such a strange experience. Does anyone else ever experience this?
