hi all, i know i’m so terrible at keeping up with this blog but in light of the recent shit with ratio’s va i’d like to say that i completely understand the pain and betrayal that all of the ratio fans are feeling. it’s easy to say things like “this is why you should never have parasocial relationships,” “this is why you should never put people on a pedestal” but when those figures actively reach out into a community and form connections with fans of the franchise then these statements are easier in theory than in practice. vas aren’t easily comparable to other influencers because there’s such a thin, permeable membrane between them and the fandom.
i feel completely heartbroken for the artists, the mods, and the fans who thought j*rdan was a safe space and then had the rug pulled from under them. i am sending my sincerest love to all of you.
